Leeds Jewish Housing Association (LjHA) is a Jewish led, minority ethnic housing association, providing homes for the local Jewish Community. LjHA is committed to working in, with and for, local communities in North Leeds. LjHA’s vision is to enable Jewish people and others with limited choices to have access to good quality, appropriate and affordable housing located within their own community. LjHA currently has over 470 properties and is planning new developments to meet increasing demands.

The Leeds Jewish Welfare Board would like to welcome you to the start of the first ever awards honouring members of the Leeds Jewish Community, these will be voted by you, the general public.

The awards will honour 10 people who have made a significant impact on the Leeds Jewish Community over the past 12 months.

The awards are aimed at honouring the community’s unsung heroes who do amazing work for others but who sometimes go unrecognized. The top 3 nominations of each category will be announced by the end of September, and then you the Jewish community will vote and decide who the winners are, which will then be announced at the awards ceremony dinner.

The awards will be presented in 10 categories ranging from business and sports to volunteers and community staff members. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony to be held in December.

Tickets for the awards ceremony which will cater for up to 250 people, will be announced at a later date. Keep a look out for further information on our website - see address below.

Please spread the word the more people that are made aware of the awards the more of the community will be involved!
